Automated Vehicle Rising Arm Barrier With Skirt
This vehicle barrier with bottom skirt was erected at Westgate Primary School, Dartford, Kent. This gate was erected to slow vehicles down as they approach the children's crossing point which can be seen in the foregorund. It is operated by the vehicle passing over a ground loop set in the tarmac. The arm skirt keeps children safe as it stops them ducking under the barrier and walking along the road alongside the traffic.
